A few weeks have passed.. and the Vintage With Flair  Market  was a huge success!!  Thank- you, thank-you for your support on behalf of  all of us as vendors, each one prepares for many months and brings you their very best in finds and creations!!!!

BACK FROM FROM R&R - with some great Finds

Going away is always fun and yet it is GREAT to be home!!   We were able to stop along the way to Manitoba and on our return to Alberta at a few out of the way places and unique vintage locations..  We didn't load up to the roof as usual but did happen to find some great old farm gates, a small cabinet, some primitive finds and even a couple of custom wish list finds. Some great pieces to make your modern decor have a smidge of vintage flair.  No matter what, whether we have a store front or not we will always be pickers at heart!!.

LOOKING AHEAD

So much has been accomplished both recently and over the last 6 years.   This past weekend Wow and Then hosted a #vintagepopmarket on the parking lot, featuring many of the #vintagewithflair vendors and friends.   Some were unable to make the Priddis sale considering the natural disaster and others joined in the fun..  Our #silentauction raised $380 which we will be donating to 1 family in the High River area, who are still reeling from the flood's destruction. 

Wow and Then opened its doors in Longview, October 2007 and as of October 31st 2013, will  be closing its doors.   The business will continue using occasional and online sales and if  you are looking for something particular, let us know we will always love the HUNT!!  

Presently we are still open Thurs to Sunday 12ish to 5ish.. and if you are planning on coming down give us a shout to be sure as we will be off for some R&R     August  10 to 22nd    and will NOT be open during that time.

Our first occasional sale will the the Country Market at All Through The House in Okotoks,  September 28th.. we will look for you there !!  There will be great choices for fall decorating.

It is been the most rewarding time of my life, on so many levels and I will always treasure these years.. Thank you to YOU who have supported me in visitation, support, help, encouragement and challenge, I have learned SO much.  In the meantime plan to stop in for a visit, and again either message me via fb, or a phone call to say you are coming.. I don't want to miss you.

SUMMER'S MEMORIES

THE TEXTURES AND COLORS OF FALL

Here it is 25 of September.. that means 3 months till ChRIsTMAs!!  seems hard to believe, but the calendar doesn't fib.  This month has still felt like summer which is okay with me.. although I must admit that today here in the north  I had my winter TIRES put on.  Only because I was already getting an oil change so .. better early than  .. You Know.. not hoping just saying when I drive the highways I like to know I'm feel safe.   Enough of that..   Summer brought I believe the most visitors on record to my little shop from all over the globe including my home land and that of my good neighbour to the south.   We had Great fun sharing stories of where they had been and going and my trying to help with directions and places they might enjoy local. From honeymooners to cyclists who's home was Berlin cycling with their 1 year old daughter, cycling  from Vancouver to Alaska and then all the way to Patagonia.   WOW!!   that is one I won't forget.   My uniquities and pieces in the shop seem to entice many a browser wanting a bit of Alberta to go home with them.   My local and regular friends and shoppers make it a habit to stop in  and too find my pieces have a spot in their homes.  It has been a delight.. and I continue to peruse for uniquties of many kinds that are fabricated on the most part this side of the ocean.. unless they have been refound.   My husband and I just made a road trip to visit family in Winnipeg and then scooted down into Minnesota and over a bit into Wisconsin.. We were able to take in JUNK BONANZA and had a blast.. and of course we have come with a mountain of sweet finds.. It will take me a month to put them out and inventory them all.. but that means there will always be new additions when you visit.

May you enjoy each season as it comes and take pleasure in the simple things each day brings!!      

10 DAYS TO GO

It is hard to believe.. but 10 days till The Vintage Chicks Sale in Priddis.  I've heard tools buzzing and had the aroma of fresh paint and the sound of creativity wafting throughout the Province of Alberta reaching me here in Calgary and at my shop Wow and Then in Longview.  I've heard the excitement of vendors and customers alike and we are so excited about sharing this great venue with each one.  Hope that each of you have ear marked either Friday June 10th  4 - 9 pm and Saturday June 11th 9 - 5 pm.  The food at our  "Inhouse Concession", run by Amy Nicole Catering,  promises to be to die for and don't forget to have your momento picture  taken at our " Vintage Hat Photo Booth" ,  photos by Gumdrop Photography with Heather at the camera.
There will be something for everyone inside and out and our hopes are that the day will be filled with fun, laughter and great finds..
